KUNKUMADITAILAM

Kunkumaditailam is one such preparation mentioned in the classical Ayurvedic text Ashtangahridayam consisting of many precious ingredients. The name implies the use of high-quality saffron. The raw materials for preparing the oil are tested in our quality control laboratory which is accredited by the department of AYUSH. The high-quality saffron is procured from Kashmir and tested by using a spectrophotometer. The organoleptic properties of the finished product are checked by experienced senior doctors of Arya Vaidya Sala. This oil is an ayurvedic medicine that is in use for several centuries. - Tailam- Sesamum indicum
Sesame oil is beneficial for skin health, prevents skin problems and improves colour of the skin. It contains anti-oxidants, reduces cell damage, moisturises the skin, promotes regeneration of skin and has anti-ageing properties. - Kunkuma- Crocus sativus
The dried stigmas of saffron are used in the preparation of this oil. It is anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory and helps to fight acne and pigmentation. It improves the colour of skin. Chemical composition of saffron is moisture, protein, fat, minerals, mainly calcium, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, zinc and manganese in small quantities, crude fibre, and carbohydrates. The medicinal properties of saffron are due to the presence of phytochemicals crocin, picrocrocin and safranal. - Usira- Vetiveria zizanioides
Vetiver moisturises the skin, delays ageing, boosts the growth of new cells, reduces scars, blemishes the marks due to acne and provides cooling to the body. - Kaliya- Santalum album (sub.)
Sandalwood helps nourish the skin, inhibits undesirable cell growth, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory, it also reduces dryness of the skin, replenishes moisture in skin, and gives a cooling effect on skin. - Laksha– Laccifer lacca
Lac helps to improve the colour of skin and heals the skin diseases. It is anti- inflammatory and anti-pruritic. - Yashtyahva– Glycyrrhiza glabra

Usage:
Kunkumaditailam can be used for Nasya (nasal administration of medicine) and for external application. Nasyakarma is an ayurvedic detoxification therapy which is suppose to prevent diseases of head, ear, nose, throat and brain and improves complexion. Instil 1-2 drops of Kunkumaditailam in each nostril, in the morning.The external application of Kunkumaditailam helps to improve the health and complexion of skin. Take a few drops of Kunkumaditailam on finger tips and apply over face, massage gently, leave it for half an hour and wash off with Skin protection soap.
The usage of this oil can be only after consulting an ayurveda practitioner as allergic skin rashes may occur in some people while using the oil. In such cases immediately discontinue the usage of this medicine and consult an ayurveda practitioner.
